To ensure that you are clearly under StreetStrider vs ElliptiGO and make the best purchase at the store, we wrote a guide that is somewhat StreetStrider and ElliptiGO. By the end of this article, you will come out with more info than a cross trainer and know how to pick the best elliptical bike.

    The Differences

    The Differences

So, what exactly differentiates these two exercise bikes? Reading StreetStrider vs ElliptiGO reviews would come in handy. For now, let us discover.

    Brand

ElliptiGO is a pioneer in the high-performance elliptical bike market. Their products are an easy choice for cyclists who are after a slightly different workout routine. The ElliptiGO brand has added more products such as Stand Up Bikes and Long-Stride Elliptical bikes to their lineup with unique riding motions and works on specific muscles during workout.

While StreetStriders do not have pioneer privilege, they took the cycling world by storm. Their outdoor elliptical bikes are often chosen by beginners and riders that are after a more stable option. Their bikes have a third wheel that gives them this stability. The brand proudly says that its mission revolves around fun, innovation in exercising as well as inspiring and supporting healthy, active lifestyles.

    Design

If you have come across pictures of the ElliptiGO bike and the StreetStrider elliptical bike, you will notice how different their designs are.

While both share motion movements in the arms and feet as the elliptical gym, StreetStrider bike gives you a better workout than the ElliptiGO. Due to its motion, the StreetStrider is bulkier and heavier. The 3i weighs 53lbs and is steered by leaning your body.

The ElliptiGO has a slightly different design. Its handlebars are stationary and do not require arm movement like the StreetStrider elliptical bike. It has a similar steering motion to a bicycle, but your feet move in an elliptical motion and not circular. It also requires you to have a standing posture rather than a sitting posture. While the ElliptiGO gives you little upper body workout, it is a high-performance machine and lightweight, with the Arc 8 weighing only 37lbs.

    Steering

StreetStrider vs ElliptiGO: Pick the Right Bike for A Thrilling Ride

These two bikes have very different steering designs. The ElliptiGO requires that you turn handlebars and lean slightly at certain speeds while the StreetStrider has a different steering process. It utilizes a “lean-to-steer” system that follows the lean direction of the rider.

This steering design makes the StreetStrider the most preferred exercise bike as it lets you exercise both your upper body and muscles.

    Comfort and Stability

While these two will give you plenty of comfort and ease when working towards a fitness goal, they offer different levels of tension.

The ElliptiGO lets you ride while on a standing posture and does not force you to be hunched over in rider to reach the handlebars. This ensures your shoulders are loose and relaxed, as well as your lower back. The elliptical pedals also let your body weight carry you while cycling such that it feels more of walking or running as you will not have to lift your body to pedal harder each time.

When it comes to stability, the StreetStrider is the ultimate winner. It is just as comfortable as the ElliptiGO with the elliptical pedaling and seat-less formats, but the two wheels in front of the bike make it more stable. With this bike, you pedal your legs and arms, which means your levers are working out in sync throughout the session, tuning and stabilizing your whole body.

    The Similarities

Despite the various ElliptiGO vs StreetStrider battles that always put the two against each other, some features unite the two. We have compiled some below:

    Speed Settings and Options

    Speed Settings and Options

While the speed will depend on the rider’s skill level and comfort, both companies have similar speeds that max out at 15-25 mph. This speed difference is based on the biker’s riding experience, and we recommend that if you are a new rider and purchase a bike with more speed, increase your riding challenges with time to get the best from it.

    Capacity (Weight)

When discussing StreetStrider vs ElliptiGO, we must talk about the weight capacity for these two. They are almost like twins, with only a slight difference due to the bike functionality. The ElliptiGO has a capacity of 250lbs while StreetStrider, 300lbs. This difference is perhaps because StreetStrider has a larger target audience for weight loss enthusiasts than ElliptiGO.

    Who is ElliptiGO for?

    ElliptiGO 3C

According to the ElliptiGO review, this is an entry-level bike and long-stride model. It has 3-speed options and resistance modification and weighs 42lbs. It has an adjustable stride length ranging from 16 to 25 inches.

The 3C model is ideal for riders who are new to stand-up bikes. It has a 3-gear range that allows you to experiment with different speeds and terrains.

    ElliptiGO 8C

The ElliptiGO 8C is a little more complex than the 3C. It is definitely a global-known bike for working out on the market. It comes in an 8-gear system for adjusting speed and level of resistance. You also get the adjustable length for strides and ElliptiGO’s handlebar grip as well as large foot platforms.

It is the ideal blend for comfort and challenge for riders who are used to stand-up biking and are looking to step up their experience.

    ElliptiGO 11R

The ElliptiGO 11R is said to offer “the ultimate elliptical cycling experience.” It has 11 gears, vibration dampening carbon-fiber drive arms, and a 39.4lb frame ideal for high-performance cyclists.

While this model is more expensive than the 8C, its experience and service are worth every penny.

    Who is StreetStrider for?

    StreetStrider 3i

The 3i is the most basic StreetStrider version. It has 3 speeds and has a sturdy frame that can support 300-pound riders. Its frame weighs 53 pounds including the brakes for both the front and back wheels.

It is preferred by customers less familiar with stand up riding and have not tried out the StreetStrider tricycle design. It is the cheapest of all StreetStrider models.

    StreetStrider 7i

The 7i has more speed and resistance options. It has 7 gears and can accommodate a 300-pound rider as well, and has adjustable arm levers.

It is suitable for riders who are comfortable with the StreetStriders cycling system and are interested in more options for speed and to ride on different terrains.

    StreetStrider 8s

Based on the StreetStrider review this bike is the lightest and smoothest one built thus far. It weighs 44 pounds, has 8 gears, and great resistance which ensures you have the best riding experience.

It is best for seasoned riders and is said to be the best performance and price combination elliptical bicycle. Their incredible turning system also means these make for best spin bikes on the market.

Hi there! I’d like to share my own experience. I have an Outdoor + Indoor strider elliptical bike. I love this model for its versatility and use it all year round! The street strider is stable but of course, it takes a bit of time to build confidence and master turning. Anyway, it took me only several hours to learn to ride. Although the bike features thin tires, it has an exceptionally smooth ride.

hi everyone! It’s my mom’s birthday soon, she’ll be 50. I want to make her a great present! She’s started making healthier choices and goes to the local gym twice a week. I’m thinking about buying an elliptical bike for her. So, is the StreetStrider worth it? Should I buy it for my mom?

My sister has an outdoor elliptical bike ElliptiGo 8C, she bought it 3 years ago and is happy with it. I tried to ride this bike the other day, aaaand here is what I think about it: the learning curve was quite steep for me( but it only took 2 rides before I felt very confident on this thing! But other than that it provides a REALLY REALLY GOOD workout!
